Sohrab Qayoom Threatens to Destroy Ram Mandir & Murder Hindus on social media.
The Chittorgarh police in Rajasthan lodged an FIR against a Mewar University student from Jammu and Kashmir and arrested him after he allegedly made an objectionable post on social media.
According to Gangrar police station SHO Jayesh Patidar, BPharm student Sohrab Qayoom, 21, had posted some objectionable comments as a story on Instagram. An FIR was subsequently lodged at the station, on the complaint of a local resident, on January 25 under IPC sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc) and 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs).
Qayoom is currently under judicial custody, SHO Patidar said.
