DMK Omits Hindu festival in 2022 calendar.
The DMK has come to power in Tamil Nadu after 10 years. It was alleged that anti-Hindu activities would rise if the DMK came to power.
Tanjore Central District DMK Secretary as well as MLA Chandrasekaran printed a calendar on behalf of the DMK for party volunteers on the occasion of the New Year 2022. In it, festivals, leaders' birthdays, and memorial days were mentioned. Moreover, while the calendar featured Christian and Muslim festivals, only Hindu festivals were ignored. Instead of being a Hindu festival, it was generally put up as a state holiday.
