This article claims that Dr. Vikram Sampath's accusations of the whitewashing of Islamic atrocities are exaggerations and that they are being used to call for a Hindu takeover of society and marginalize the other communities. This article itself tries to whitewash the brutality of Islamic invasion by saying that "Afghan, Turkish and Mughal conquerors never really looked to obliterate Hinduism" which is false. By alleging an ulterior motive to this movement to recapture our true history and reclaim Hindu civilizational pride, the article indulges in reducing the part of Hindus in history and making Hindus feel guilty for trying to fight colonial thinking.
