Mara Salvatrucha Gang Vandalizes North Texas Hindu Mandir with the Symbol of 666 on Temple’s Door
On 13th April 2015, the North Texas Hindu Mandir in Lake Highlands suburb of Dallas, Texas was vandalized with offensive spray images. The number ‘666’ and an upside-down cross was spray-painted on the door of the temple. In Christian lore, 666 is considered the number of the Devil.
The attackers left behind on a shed at the temple the mark of Mara Salvatrucha, an international gang originating among immigrants from the predominantly Catholic nation of El Salvador and active in the US.
