Maha Hasan Alshawi Harasses Hindu Professors; Throws False Accusations of Harassment
Maha Hasan Alshawi, a student at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, accused Professor Prasad Jayanti (faculty in Computer Science) of religious discrimination when Professor Jayanti, supervising Alshawi, suggested her to take another credit course to prepare her for the credit course she wanted to take at first place.
She also filed complaint against two other Computer Science faculties, Professors Amit Chakrabarti and Deeparnab Chakrabarty, alleging that they were helping Professor Jayanti in abusing her as Muslim.
She said she believed that Hindus like seeing Muslims being tortured but there were no specifics. It was just her belief. She further alleged that she was abused and harassed because she was Muslim and he was Hindu, but she didn’t provide specifics.
