The doctrines of karma and Dharma which are defined by the writer as "what-goes-around-comes-around" and laws for social order respectively, are claimed to be taught in yoga classes which makes the practice of yoga justify the oppression meted out to "lower caste people". Moreover, it is claimed that as Sanskrit terms are used to teach yoga, it restricts the lower caste from learning and teaching yoga as the language has always been confined to the upper caste. Because of this, the writer feels it proper to connect the "supremacist" yogic practices to white supremacist beliefs in the US and demand a full reform of yoga.
