Besides trying to demonize Indian Americans based on their caste (most of those working in high-paying jobs are said to self-identify as "upper-caste"), the article makes a wrong interpretation of Hindu beliefs in trying to show the connection between casteism and Hinduism. The writer states that "men were created unequal by Lord Brahma" when that is untrue as in Hindu scriptures, there is a sharp distinction between varna and jaati with the qualities of a person - not birth - being the deciding factor of their varna. There is also fluidity between each varna which eradicates the idea that caste discrimination is upheld in Hindu scriptures.
